These terms cover MirrorEdge AI: Studio, the app for Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad. They are written to be read. If something here is unclear, write to support@mirroredgeai.com and we will explain it in plain words.
You may install and use MirrorEdge AI: Studio on the computers and devices you personally use, for your own work — personal or commercial. Anything you make with it is yours. We claim no rights over your recordings, your edits or your exports.
The core editor can be used without a time limit, watermark or reduced export quality. On a computer (Windows or Mac), the four Digital Instruments play free as well. Keeping what you make requires an active paid plan or pass, except that on a computer your first export is free, once. Keeping includes:
On an iPhone or iPad, the core editor is free in the same way, and the app keeps the project you are working on and reopens it when you come back. There is no free export there, and playing the four Digital Instruments and saving a project to Files also require an active paid plan or pass.
Optional paid finishes have the additional requirements in section 3. On a computer, you can save a session and come back to it without paying, so declining to subscribe never loses work saved in a session. Sessions do not support recordings opened from a video, from a link, or from an M4A, AAC or WMA file.

A one-time pass is not a subscription. Keep this recording is $4.99 USD for 48 hours of everything, and Studio Week Pass is $8.49 USD for seven days; each runs from the moment of purchase, ends on its own and never renews.
These subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. The purchase screen and payment provider show the billing period and renewal terms. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live.
Apple takes the payment, sets the price in your local currency, and manages the subscription. Prices there may differ from the prices above. Cancel any time: on a Mac, in the App Store ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions (your name is at the bottom of the App Store sidebar); on iPhone or iPad, in Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full payment-card number. To cancel, sign in to Manage billing with the email you paid with; you can also update your card and download invoices there. To change or pause a plan, or if you cannot sign in, write to support@mirroredgeai.com from the address you paid with, and we will action it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
Founding Lifetime licences are no longer sold. Every one already bought is honoured permanently and does not expire. It includes SoundWave Studio, the editor, and Music Studio with all four Digital Instruments. It is not a subscription, so applying a paid finish still needs an active subscription, as set out below.
Gridboard, Keyline, Beatframe and Tracedeck, the four Digital Instruments in Music Studio, play free on a computer (Windows or Mac); on an iPhone or iPad, playing them requires an active paid plan or pass. Keeping what you make with them is included in every paid plan and pass: Studio Complete, monthly or yearly, Studio Team, the one-time passes, and every lifetime licence already issued. Paid finishes are separate.
Machine subscriptions and the All Machines bundle are no longer sold. One you already have keeps renewing until you cancel it, and moving to Studio Complete does not cancel it for you: on Apple, cancel it as described above; bought from us, cancel it in Manage billing as described above, or write to us if it shares its bill with a plan you are keeping.
Each paid finish is a $2.99 USD one-time purchase for one instrument, with localized App Store pricing shown before purchase. The Original finish is included. An active Studio Complete subscription, monthly or yearly, or a Studio Team seat, is required to apply a paid finish; the one-time passes and lifetime licences do not qualify. A canceled, failed, expired or refunded subscription does not erase an unrevoked finish purchase or automatically refund that separate purchase. Resume eligible access to use it again. A refund or revocation of the finish purchase itself removes that finish.
Paid finishes bought directly or on Windows belong to the buyer's verified personal account, including when that person is a Studio Team member. Apple purchases belong to the purchasing Apple Account. Purchases do not automatically transfer between Stripe and Apple or between individuals. Membership does not give other Studio Team members ownership of your purchased finishes.
App Store purchases (Mac, iPhone and iPad) are refunded by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Direct purchases: if the app is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. You do not need a reason. After 14 days we will still look at anything that went wrong; we would rather sort it out than keep money from somebody unhappy.
MirrorEdge AI: Studio works on your computer or device. Your audio and video are never uploaded to us and never used to train anything. Online functions include licensing, purchases, restoration, optional verified accounts, Studio Team membership, the finishes you own and fetching links you ask to open. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
A direct purchase is registered to the email address you paid with. Activating in the app saves a signed licence file on that computer. Subscription and paid-feature access needs periodic validation and is subject to expiry, refund and device limits. The app shows when connection or restoration is needed. You may activate within your plan's device limits. Signing out does not itself cancel a payment subscription.
MirrorEdge AI: Studio ships FFmpeg, used as a separate program to read and write the audio inside video files, under the GNU Lesser General Public License. The app itself is proprietary. Full notices, the exact build we ship and its digest are on the legal page. If you want the source for any LGPL component, ask us and we will provide it.
We work hard to make the app correct, and it is tested heavily. But it is software that changes audio, and no software is perfect. Keep your originals. The app never overwrites a source file unless you tell it to, and every edit can be undone — but a backup is still the right habit.
To the extent the law allows, MirrorEdge AI: Studio is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and MirrorEdge LLC's total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can stop using the app at any time. We may end your licence if you break section 1 — but we will tell you what happened and why first, unless the law prevents it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, U.S.A. If we change them, the effective date at the top changes, and a material change that affects existing subscribers will be sent to the email address on the subscription before it takes effect.
